About the Event

Art was one of war’s many witnesses. During World War II, war was documented not just in words, but in images. Across the Philippines, Japan, and the United States, professional artists and ordinary people alike captured what they saw and lived through, some as propaganda, others as personal reflection. Discover this rich and varied visual record of a shared history with foremost historian on World War II in the Philippines, Dr. Ricardo T. Jose, PhD. *𝘛𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦-𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘍𝘏𝘓, 𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘥 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵.
