Dauntless author Marie Silva Vallejo returns with new insights into one of World War II's most overlooked stories—the courageous service of the 1st and 2nd Filipino Infantry Regiments, U.S. Army, and the clandestine 1st Reconnaissance Battalion who conducted secret submarine missions throughout the Philippine islands.
In this updated presentation, Vallejo explores the regiments' contributions during major Philippine campaigns, and how their wartime service shaped postwar opportunities for these soldiers and their families in the United States.
