About the Event

On November 29, 2024, Friday, 8-10 PM, Jeepney Jazz swings at Ayala Museum with Brass Munkeys playing retro swing. Cocktails and canapes come with the ticket to two sets of dance-vibing jazz.  Since Brass Munkeys began 2002, it has entertained audiences with covers of Sinatra, Bennet, and Darin classic crooner hits, as well as latin jazz. The group eventually featured its own original compositions and developed its signature sound: retro swing, an upbeat style that gets audiences dancing, fuses the blues, rock, swing, and boogie. Brass Munkeys has performed for the King of Thailand in 2010. This year, in May 2024, Brass Munkeys was featured alongside Singaporean jazz chanteuse Michelle Poh at the music festival sponsored by the Singaporean Embassy in Manila. In partnership with Purefoods Deli, Filipinas Heritage Library’s Jeepney Jazz project aims to highlight Filipino contributions to global music. Find out why our jazz bands are such a big hit in other countries. The last Jeepney Jazz Session this year will be on December 7, 2024, featuring jazzified OPM songs by Project Yazz.
