Join us for a special film screening and talkback session commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Manila. The screening will feature "Children of the War", followed by a discussion with the director, offering insight into the stories of World War II veterans and survivors. The Battle of Manila (February 3 – March 3, 1945) was one of the most destructive battles of World War II in Asia. In just a month, over 100,000 civilians were killed, and much of the city’s historic architecture was reduced to ruins. This solemn chapter in Philippine history reminds us of the cost of war and the importance of peace. To deepen your understanding, explore the Diorama Experience on the 2nd floor of the Ayala Museum, and visit the Filipinas Heritage Library to access the Roderick Hall and Memorare Manila 1945 collections, which preserve stories and memories from this pivotal moment in our nation’s past.
